Garage Door Openers

Repair, replacement and smart upgrades for chain, belt, screw and wall-mount jackshaft openers.

Overview

Modern openers are quieter, safer and far smarter than the units they replace. Belt drives run near-silent under a bedroom, battery backup keeps the door working through an outage, and app control means you can check the door from anywhere.

Signs you need this

What it looks like when this is the problem

If any of these match what your door is doing, this is the service to book.

01

The opener hums but the door doesn't move

Usually a stripped drive gear or a sheared trolley. The motor is fine; the drivetrain is not.

02

You can hear it from the bedroom

Chain drives transmit noise through the ceiling. A belt drive on isolated mounts is a different experience entirely.

03

No power backup

Florida storm season means outages. Battery backup is now required on new residential openers in several states and is worth having regardless.

04

The remote range is terrible

Often a failing antenna, RF interference from LED bulbs, or a receiver that is simply past its life.

Questions

Belt, in almost every case. It is quieter, needs less maintenance, and the price difference has narrowed a lot. Chain still makes sense for detached garages where noise is irrelevant.

Yes. We set up the manufacturer's app, connect it to your Wi-Fi, and walk you through notifications and scheduled closing before we leave.

If it predates modern rolling-code security or lacks photo-eye sensors, replace it. Both are safety and security issues, not comfort upgrades.
